HOLINESS TO THE LORD

1. THE CAMP OF ISRAEL
The Tabernacle was placed in the center of the camp, and the 12 tribes pitched their tents around it. The doors of the tents faced the Tabernacle.

1A. THE BRAZEN SERPENT
A means of healing for the children of Israel who had been bitten by poisonous serpents. Symbolic of looking to Christ, who is the Healer of our souls.

2. THE GATE
This was the only entrance into the Tabernacle, symbolic of how Jesus Christ is the only way back to God's presence.

3. ALTAR OF SACRIFICE
It is here that the Israelites offered up the firstlings of their flocks to the Lord. Sacrifice pointed them to the future sacrifice of the Only Begotten Son of God.

4. LAVER OF WATER
Here, the Priests purified themselves by washing their hands and feet before and after sacrifices. Water is symbolic of Jesus Christ, who is the Living Water.

5. TABERNACLE COVERINGS
Four layers that spanned the tent of the Tabernacle, each symbolic of Jesus Christ and His covering of our shortcomings.

6. HOLY PLACE
The first room in the tent, this room contains the Table of Shewbread, the Menorah, and the Altar of Incense. Each point to Jesus Christ as the bread of life, the light of the world, and our advocate with the Father.

7. HOLY OF HOLIES
The final room in the Tabernacle, containing the Ark of the Covenant. This room represents God's presence, and the mercy He offers His children.

8. PRIESTLY CLOTHING
Clothing given to the High Priest when he was set apart to serve the Lord. This sacred vestment set the wearer apart from other children of Israel.
